You may have some OBD2/1 problems there. Look into the differences between OBD types, should give you some answers.

i believe u can use your mounts and tranny and your obd2 harness but you just need to get some obd1 injectors clips and a obd1 dizzy plus a dizzy plug adapter obd2 to obd1. someone correct me if im wrong.

The first question is....Do you have to worry about emissions? If so, then you're going to be in the same boat that I am.

I have a z6 swap in my 98 civic. You can use the obd2 harness but you'll need the ecu jumper to run the p71 (or whatever ecu the z6 comes with). You'll also need the dizzy jumper and the z6 injectors - you'll have to wire those.

Everything drops in fine, it's just another d-series. Nothing special that you really have to worry about.

For emissions - I'm trying to use a y8 ecu. I did the knock sensor trick, wired in the o2 sensors - everything is fine that way. But I keep getting a CEL for the vtec pressure switch. AND - everytime I have vtec pinned, my car runs like crap with the y8 ecu. But without it pinned, it works like a champ. To me it sounds like I don't have the right wires pinned for it in the p2p ecu..but I'm following the ob2a ecu pinout on FF-squad to the T.

why make it harder then it suppose to be...

take your ZC (i hope its a SOHC) out of the car... take the manifold off and put it on the z6.. okie... and if your zc has a crank angle sensor on it and you are running on the obd2a ecu the research on H-T on how to either by pass it or some how tap it in.. use your orginal injector tb iacv all the sensor on the zc ok.. for your distributor you will either A hopefully you have a zc vtec cause you can just reuse you old dizzy but if you zc is the non vtec then you will have to use a z6 and either buy a converter for the dizzy obd1 to obd2a or re wire yourself... tranny shift linkage axle all the same... o..yea the most important thing... make sure you change your driver side motor mount bracket from your zc and transfer it to the z6..

anything else??

No doubt that the p28 runs better. I just need to run the y8 for emissions reasons.

i just did mines recently, i have
-obd2a EX harness
-obd2a to obd1 jumper harness
-JDM p08 ECU (rare as hell) almost the same as a p28

i used all my same mounts off my 96 y7, fits like a glove.

i didnt convert the dizzy plugs or whatsoever, im guessing my dizzy is already converted (10 plug type, it plugs straight through my EX harness though).

i did use my y7 injectors.

everything is plug and play except theres no knock sensor in obd1 motors, and my car is a 96, so it didnt have an evap sensorand thats about it. but for some reason, my ex harness is missing one o2 sensor harness, its missing the one after the cat converter.

and plus, the head of my motor vibrates while idle, but the bottom end is stiff and hell. and my idle is 300-500 when first started up and even warm. and the rev goes up and down. and sometimes it shuts itself off. ill update this when i find out its problem.

did i read this wrong..???

you have an OBD-0 ZC already in ur OBD-2A "96-98" car..??

you want to know what parts are interchangable in order to swap a Z6 into ur car..??

what ecu setup are you running right now on the car..?? OBD1 or OBD2..??
