Where is the coolant drain on the block.? F22b
i got an oe stat for my accord, there is no comparison to the aftermarket stats. and the aftermarket ones can be very troublesome. but if it is the correct honda stat, and it isnt broken in the open position then it isnt the stat that is your problem, but even it it was stuck or broken in the open position, you should still get some warm air. but just cold air, that's a different problem or a multiple problem.
btw, i'd be very careful taking that drainbolt out. you should read up on the subject of galvanic corrosion before you do. if it is corroded like this, the aluminum threads will be attached to the steel ones. aluminum is more anodic [less noble] than steel. very few honda techs even bother with it. of course their motivation in part is the time, money, what is to be gained, and then the extra disposal issue. i was faced with this same issue recently and 80% of the people i spoke to said dont take the risk.

by the way by clogged i mean the heater core might possibly be clogged because my car did have a minor overheating issue and the hoses were pretty bad.so possibly could the lining of those hoses have been floating around my system?
