ok i won an auction on ebay for what was labeled a 92-93 b17a1 gs-r ecu. now upon receiving it i opened it up because the auction said that it was chipped. now there are no labels on it what so ever the only thing i see on it is on the inside of the casing there is a PR4 engraved on it. now is this just a 92-93 PR4 ecu? here are some pics...







now when i plug it into my car it starts up, then dies down. i have a chipped P28 for my LS/vtec. so immediately i think bad chip? so i install my old chip and it does the same thing, yet i get no CEL. what could be wrong? any advice will be greatly appreciated.

 

a pr4 ecu is for a 90-91 integra. which is obd0. if its obd1, then im guessing 92-93 integra LS,GS,RS

 

and a b17 ecu is a p61

 

yea i know a 92-93 b17 ecu is a P61, and i know that there are 92-93 obd1 PR4 ecu's my question is does the stamping on the casing indicate its a pr4? and what could be the cause of it not starting my car when i have no CEL???

 

yupp.. did you check all your fuses, ground wires .? at this point, it can probaly be anything.

 

well my car ran fine with my chipped p28, virgin p28 as well. its just when i plug this ecu into my car and it doesnt start.

 

hmm, there might be something the ecu is doing to the car. or its just possibly no good. idk how that can possibly be the problem. never heard of this kinda issue either .
