Default CorSport aluminum shifter bushing review.

I got the shifter base bushings and the cable bushings for my 03 Si.

I love them! Took me about 15 minutes tops to install the cable bushings. Immediatly noticed a big difference in overall stiffness. I greased the bushings with a lithium based grease. The old ones pushed right out with my fingers which indicates they were pretty well worn. I rate these really high in terms of quality and performance and really recommend them.

Took me about 45 minutes to install the shifter base bushings. It is pretty easy. Just took time and steady hands with basic hand tools. It is good to plan what you need to do. I didn't use any sort of grease or anything cause I didn't think it was needed. They finalized the awesome feel of the shifter base bushings. I would recommend getting both types of bushings together.

The price/performance is unbeatable. Especially since I did everything in about an hour.

There is considerably less play in side to side movement on the shifter. It isn't sloppy going into gear. I actually had to get used to not being able to just pop it into gear. I had to make sure it is totally in gear before taking my hand off. Took about 3 days to get used to. It is a totally different feel and I love it. Feels a lot sportier. So far I don't have any cons about them. If seems like the downshifts are smoother too... Could just be my imagination. Sorry if this review is kind of quick. Feel free to private message me if you have any questions!

Hope this helps. Sorry I didn't do a write up but I didn't think it was needed.

How many are there total inside and out? I bought 8 used bushings. I imagine that's only enough for the shifter base.

Those are the shifter base bushings. The cable ones are big aluminum billet pieces.

Link? And which bushings, the underhizzy or shifter?

Just a tip for anyone installing the underhood bushings....I know the CorSport DIY showed them cutting the bushings out with a razor or something whack, I just used an air hammer and blasted them out in 2 seconds. Total install was less than 5 minutes.
