HELP!! CHANGED Thermostat now car doesn't wanna turn on!
so today i decided on my day off that it was a good day to change my thermostat since i barely have heat in my 95 4dr beater Civic DX. i bought the parts and my buddy from work told me to bring it over and he'd changed it for me really quick. so w/e we changed it 3 10mm screws the cover comes off take out the thermostat put the new one put the cover back on put the screws in put the hose back on put antifreeze and when i go to turn the car on it clicks and cranks and the engine doesnt turn on??? i thought it might've been the cap n rotor n dat there wasnt gettin a spark but still doesnt wanna turn on! someone help me out! lol
I can almost guarentee you that you either forgot to reconnect the thermostat ground, or its dirty/corroded/wires half broken where the ring terminal is crimped on.
if u say the ground is the one das connected with one of the 10mm bolts den the thermo ground was reconnected but the wires were fine before i'll have to check tom. any other ideas?
Enough with the slang and incomplete/run-on sentences, it makes reading the posts hard.
