Yes, OBD1 has more tuning options. You will also need a conversion harness depending on what year your vehicle is. I have and 96 hatch and run P28(OBD1) chipped and tuned on crome gold. I used a boomslang OBD2A to OBD1 conversion harness. Hope this will help you a little.
