ok so this is my first single cam build and I just got the obd2 y8 installed with obd1 dizzy, jumper, p28, and obd0 injectors runnning on resistor box. my problem is that I'm getting a crank pos sensor error code (4). I know that normally in the past this has been automatic dizzy for obd0 but I noticed the y8 has a sensor coming off of the crank and i dont know if the ecu needs to read that or if its getting it from the obd1 dizzy... also it's not starting. please help! thanx

 

going back downstairs to test spark..

 

the sensor by the crank pulley is the crankshaft fluctuation sensor - the OBD1 ECU doesn't read that sensor - not needed with OBD1 - try switching the orange and white wires at the distributor connector

 

checked spark.. got nothin on all four.
swapped orange and white.. nothin.
checked cap/rotor.. seem fine.
getting replacement/test dizzy tonight to verify bad dizzy..
any other ideas please help!

 

possibly try fuel relay or try looking over the ground wires

i have a y8 in my crx and i didnt tightn my grounds and it wouldnt start

 

yup dizzy is bad but i got the wrong one. does anyone know.. should i get one for a y7? does it fit?
