k pro
yeah i checked their site but i went to my local hondata dealer and i wanted to get the hondata reflash and they said i should just get the k pro. I told them i did not think it was out yet but they said it was so i was making sure. sorry
the shop you went to is either smoking crack or they know something that the rest of the public doesn't.
I always look under "news" on the hondata site to see if they've come up with anything. they still only advertise the reflash.
they have made the dual ECU setup for the S2000.....I hope they apply that same setup or better for the civic.

that's right, even on the rsx you can only use the 02-04 rsx for k-pro. in order to use k-pro on a 05-06 rsx you gotta use the older ecu. and no, there's nothing similar to k-pro for the 06+ civic and probably never will be.

I thought Hondata was close to having something for the K20Z3, but it would not be called a kpro. I thought what it would do is give you tuning capability for fuel and timing parameters, I don't know though. Not the full extent of ajustability that the kpro has.
But I have a question of my own.
What is the big deal with the K20Z3? I understand that it uses drive by wire, is that what makes it difficult for Hondata to come up with the KPRO? I don't see why Hondata can't come up with the solution.
Does the kpro for the rsx and older civics do more stuff than say the greddy emanage ultimate?
Because you can you that for our civics and the AEM fuel ignition /controller which is what I used to tune mine because for the time being it is all that's available to tune with. Would i be better off if I could use a KPRO?

hondata should duplicate the same tuning program that they have for the gti's.

From what I heard the challenge has to do with a few things. It is the DBW and that the engine uses two different mass air sensors. But again, this is just what I heard.

Over a year ago, I read on Hondata's website that "K-flash" (as I've heard it nicknamed) was their number 1 priority. They also said they had purchased or borrowed a couple Si's specifically for developing "K-flash". That is the last news I've heard of it from Hondata. Everything else has been heresay. I've been holding out from getting the reflash since my car was new because I was just going to get "K-flash" instead. But the wait has been too long. Hondata has been too busy developing the dual ECU setup for the k20/24 frankenstein motor. Because that's what everybody wants...right. They have probably lost my business.
Pretty good stuff. From what I read on their website, the cross over is lowered, the redline extended, and hp/tq gains are significant. Overall it would complement the standard bolt-on's nicely.

I heard the same thing. The last thing I read on their forum, posted by a moderator, was that Hondata had been working on something since September of 2005.

Pit 2 cars against each other with identical modifications and the reflashed car will be faster, yes, including drag racing.

Difficult to see because of the color used but there is a marginal gain

The small gain here is clear to see as well

thanks kidnkorner. i was gonna say that but i didnt wanna find the pics. you need to spread those pics on 8th as well. a lot of misinfo about the reflash on there too. It does not help tons but still helps.
I will be looking for it. I will need it, even if it does cost thousands of dollars.
Given the amount of time, I have to assume the engineering costs are huge. For Hondata to make a decent return on the product, given the expected life of the product, I expect it is going to be very expensive. Let's all just hope it will be worth it.
thats good to hear. i dont know anybody wit the relfash wit an 8th gen, but i see a fg wit the hondata license plate all the time. one day im tryin to talk to the dude/chick
