Default Brake booster pushrod/master cylinder piston clearance?

The helms manual says to adjust the clearance to 0.008" and you need a special tool to do this. Does anyone here actually do this when they install a new MC or do you just slap it in?

you only really need to adjust this if you replace the booster- slap on your new MC and go. I hope you are using a new Honda MC.

Ive never had a problem just slapping on a new master cylinder from Honda, but I have seen a few aftermarket ones that were off.
