Question for CHAMPIONSHIP WHITE guys
Did you guys ever notice on your championship white paint that that slight yellow tinge it is known to have kind of gets less evident after a while? I just got my car(96 civic hatch) painted a year ago championship white (NH-0) and all was well.I even ordered an oem ctr front lip from japan and it was a perfect match. After a while i noticed that the paint seem to get a little less of that yellow tinge including the lip. Anyways my friend backed up to the car last month and the autobody that originally painted my car re-did my bumper that got hit for me. ITs not a perfect match but the new paint looks a lot more like the championship white im familiar with. I havent done much to the car since the paint job cause i stored it for winter but have u guys experienced this? Will some weathering and waxing through net summer eventually match the new paint to the old? Any feedback would be great. Thanks !! Here's a pic of the car.
My Champ white is turning yellow! Needs a good polish to bring it back up.
That's the only downfall of this colour, apart from it being quite common.

I would guess paint gets old and lose its awesome quality if the paint job in the first place was a cheap one.
I see oem itrs that still have that yellowey tinge, so maybe it's the quality of the job you got?

i dont think its quality cause my oem front lip has seemed to stay matched with the rest of the car as well. im starting to wonder these other guys saying that there paint has drastically changed through the years. Maybe its in this colors nature to change a little after awhile

"The reason why the Type R's traditionally have a red Honda badge and Championship White as an option is to relate to their first F1 winning car, which also had a red Honda badge and Championship White. Honda's racing cars and F1 cars often or all the time contain a red Honda badge." there winning f1 car was a normal white but after the race the car had a slight tint from dust and what ever it picked up from the race and they duplicated the color.
cool info for those who didnt know.
