Im shooting for about 650+whp in my eg hatch. I dont plan on going to the track much maybe once to see what it runs. But I might put drag radials do some highway pulls. Do I really need upgraded axles? I dont plan on doing many burnouts. Also I used to have stage 4 spring hub competition clutch in my hatch when I was making about 480whp. It was fine and lasted for about 15000 miles. I plan on going with a stage 5 spring hub. Will that be enough or is it going to just burn up?? Thanks.
i have a competition stage 5 sprung clutch.. i bought it from somone who was making a little over 500whp prob closer to 550whp i forget the exact number, but anyway.. he said that it help his hp fine.. i know your shooting for more hp then 500's but i think the CC stage 5 sprung clutch will hold for you just fine. he didnt sell it because it wasnt enough incase you were wondering though.. he was parting out his whole setup.. it as a show car so the clutch is still fresh
If your not going to the track and not doing many burnouts, I think stock axles should be fine, all depends on how hard you drive it.. I used stock axles on 400whp doing 150+ passes at the track with slicks no problems, and have seen a couple 500whp 10sec cars stock axles...So for what your doing axles should be fine
