how much coolant?
Flushing involves running water through the system until clear......then draining.....just so you know.
I usually just get a gallon of coolant and a gallon of water 50/50.
Poor into radiator until full....shake car to get bubbles out of radiator....run car for about a minute and then add more coolant. repeat until impossible to add more coolant.

I would just take it to a shop and spend the $45.00 to have them flush and pressure test the whole thing. It saves you time, for buying the coolant, and where would you dump it?
Whatever you do, don't drain it into the storm drain or into the ground. It will only poison you and your children in the future.

When I did my swap, we used a bleed valve right near where the upper hose meets the head. Make sure system is full and sealed. Unscrew valve until no more bubbling (steady stream of coolant) then close. No air in system.
