Am I heading for a blown tranny???
My tranny has gotten worst after one bad misshift a while back.Ever since then my car makes like a knocking noise when shifting into gears. The tranny shifts fine if the tranmission is cool down. Seems like the tranny only gets worst once it gets heated up. When the car is at idle, the transmission makes like a whinning noise.Could it be the throw out bearings? I can't really go into first gear fast or else will grind regardless if the clutch is press all the way or not.Sometimes during long travels, I have to put the it into second gear before going into first because it will grind.
Sounds like bad synchros, among other things like driving habits, haha. jk. But yea, synchros gotta be bad. I geuss it could be a worn/slipping clutch.

Yeah I'm guessing its the syncros too.I've change the tranny oil and it help a little although the symptoms remain pretty much the same.I'm guessing I need a new tranny soon.Hopefully I can one for less than $800,a good and rebuilt one.I want to avoid being scammed from cheap and grinding trannys from craigslist.
There's only one throw out bearing and it's not actually in your transmission. It's located in the bell housing where your clutch/flywheel/pressure plate is. Because you said you have to put the car into 2nd and then 1st, this leads me to believe that you have worn syncros/sleeves. You would probably be best off to source a new transmission. Changing the fluid to Honda MTF or GM/Pennzoil Syncromesh might provide a temporary fix to your problem.
