88 supra chevy 350 twin turbo!!
heres my dads build everybody has been asking for... its an 88 supra with a chevy 350 with forged rods, pistons, 202 double hump heads, edelbrock performer manifold, edelbrock carb, twin t3/t4 turbos, custom piping and fmic. the body is a one off bodykit molded with flares. we just finished the paint...its a lexus/toyota special edition color that ive seen on a lexus suv, its like a black cherry color with a black design on the side...its a ghost effect, very cool... we built everything on this car and here are some of the pics. any questions just let me know id be happy 2 answer them. i have the v8 crx build thread posted in the ef section
heres the supra

heres the supra

Is this car going to be street driven or is it just a show piece? The reason I ask is because the only thing I don't approve of are the molded panels. It's just a personal thing. I don't like to see skirts, fenders, and/or bumpers molded together.
these are all the pics we have, its in our shop in a basement and we live in wisconsin so we cant put it outside, the pictures were posted due to a bunch of guys on my thread asking me to post this build so they could see it. Plus on my comp. all the pics work and are vertical on the screen so idk whats wrong with the pics

street driven, track, and drag. the car is around 600hp. the molded panels were like this when we bought the car, we decided to not mess with most of it. the car was thrown together before us with the flares and had chrome side pipes of the side. We took sideskirts from a civic and cut them to fit and molded them in. The rear bumper we dont have molded in though. We thought the car looked much better with the molded flares. Personal choice, i like it and my dad does too so were happy with how it looks.

Well, to be honest that body kit doesn't flow well with the car at all. To top it off, the wheels don't fit into the arches properly. I love the choice of color, though. And, I hate to say it, but nothing interests me less than a domestic V8 swapped Japanese car, no matter how powerful.

... the wheels don't fit the arches at all. They're 2-3 inches too shallow, and the car sits about an inch and half to 2 inches too high. I've seen plenty custom one-off kits on older Supra's, and the side skirts and front bumper chosen here don't flow with the body lines at all (I can't think of a car they might actually flow well with, at all).
Unless you have the car on jacks in this picture: http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/e...d/P1230161.jpg

that kit doesnt look half bad, i just want to see what it looks like finished, with the right touches on detail and wheels i think this car will turn out to be everything your dad wants and please do wheelies in it for me......
lol i agree. like i said the pics make it look bad. plus there is nothing in the interior keeping the suspension semi-lower. but we will def. have vids of this and my v8 crx going at it on the strip
