Default Official jdm ef9/ee9 forum..post if you own w/pictures or what you think there worth

This will serve as the official EF9/EE9 thread I know they're out there honestly this thread is made out of curiosity as I am sick of looking at riced out EF's with jdm parts when nothing is better then the original. This also could be potential sales for those that are looking to sell. I am currently stuck buying between an EF9 powered by b18cR or a Integra type R. I will Reliterate NO USDM EF's. I'm gonna throw a video on here watch it, Its what got me interested into this project. Post if you have one and even if not looking to sell post what you think its worth. Don't be bashful be honest there one of a kind.

unfortunately, i have no money to get an original EF/EE, and more unfortunately i'm still struggling to save up for an oxygen sensor for my ED sedan *lol* but i would like to put jdm parts, that's my only choice to go wannabe-jdm *lol*

honda tech is a mainly north american based website with american based cars.

the entire point of car modding is taking a car that is less than perfect and modifying it to each individuals preference.

it sounds like all you want is a gallery of pictures of stock ef/ee's

what are you going to talk about if all the cars are factory and nothing is modified?

it is next to impossible for a right hand drive car to be imported into most US states, ef/ee's can be imported into canada but good luck finding one in good condition, for a reasonable price.

I think you need to do some research on importing jdm cars into the USA, in Canada they can be imported but can not be registered unless they're 10 or more years old and have documentation from the manufacture in the country they were from. In the USA depending in what state you live they are different regulations I know of three people that have JDM integra type r's and nissan skyline where I live in NY. Also, its not always about how modified a car is that makes it special or worthy to talk about, honestly most people want to buy a stock Honda because they're becoming more rare. I don't want somebody's failure of a project becuase most people beat they're sh*t. For example they're people selling USDM integra type r's turbo'd and EG civic si's with b-series swaps for the same price as that exact same model stock and clean. If you want to talk about modifiying, I want to put b18cR with a hydrolic tranny in a car that came cable. There was a EF9 for sale on here 4 month's ago and it got alot of positive feedback.

Why spend thousands of dollars; hours upon hours trying to resource information on how to import and register a 20 year old car.

Because the EF is Honda's best car, even if it is 20 years old I'm gonna skip the importing step and just move to Japan to buy one of these bad boys. Wait for 2010...when I'm posting my EF9 pics from Japan

LOl there's like maybe 10 original owners in the whole forum, and they're most likely living outside the U.S.

Cause it authentic and although older in japan we never had it, its a market by its self. Its resale value is pricless and based on rarity, why buy a LS or Hatch drop 6 grand into it and only sell it for a depreciated value wheres mine will grow larger percentage a year. Also, you dont who I know and what I know about importing cars, worst thing you can do is assume. When you import a car it doesn't come with a motor just a shell or cut in half, thats why there are front clips. The vechicle has to be imported non functioning. When you register it you can use the vin# from japan if you have the orginal title, if not its setup as a kit car. They're are wholes in all systems. There was one complete on here a month ago he only wanted 3k for the shell, should've jumped on it but had bills, now im fine.

I dont blame you, this was suppost to be a database of true EF9/EE9's in the USA, people just post stupid sh*t thats off topic. Cause on honda-tech you have two users people who a lot about honda's and those who just drive them. IF YOU DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY RELATED TO EITHER THAT YOU WANT TO BUY ONE, ALLREADY OWN ONE, OR HOW SOME GOOD INFO ON THEM DONT COMMENT.

hes right. you have to import is as "car parts" from japan basically. dude i talked to at a meet had a jdm prelude that he had shipped over. he had someone in japan take the motor and tranny out adn send it in seperate crates and drop the motor backin when it got here. ended up paying like 9 grand for a 93 prelude straight from japan with like 45,000 miles on it. it was hella nice too. he sold it for some crazy hi price last time i talked to him. he made a crazy profit on it.

I can register any right hand drive vehicle and it can come over in one piece. Anyway kind of off topic but yeah, lots of misconceptions on that end of things.

Then you are looking in the wrongest of wrong places my friend. OBD2 4-wire sensors are by far the priciest, and I know they can be had for $40 (my friend is in the process of installing both O2 sensors on his 00 hatch). I was just looking in the EF parts for sale thread I believe, someone had a used 1-wire O2 sensor for $10. btw, I just did a real quick search at Autozone.com, and they have a Bosch 1-wire O2 sensor for $23.99. So uh...I have no idea where you're searching, but it's obviously the wrong place if you think O2 sensors cost 150 bucks!
