i dont think it will, search on the net or get a service manual to see what that resistance should be

A bad igniter may throw code 15 for 5th generation (OBDI) Civics. I don't think the same would be true for a 6th generation Civic, unless it registers as random misfiring.

Do you have battery voltage at the distributor connector?

12V from the BLK/YEL wire of the distributor connector when the key is turned to ON(II).

Assuming all the wire connections are fine, the igniter unit is probably bad. There's no direct test described in the manual for a bad igniter, but your local auto parts store may be able to test it for you. Bring the coil in for testing as well, just to confirm your resistance measurements.

Ignition Control module commonly goes out car won't start. Or it will stumble in the upper OR lower rpms. You can have it tested at O'reilly's what exactly is your problem?

the car died and wont start, the local auo parts stores dont have testing equipment. Was trying to figure out if it was the ignitor or icm. Maybe i should just buy a whole new distributor from distributor king.

Buy the igniter and return it if it doesn't restore spark.

"Ignitor" and "ICM" are different names for the same part. For no spark, start by checking both the ignitor (= ICM) and the ignition coil, per http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/faq.html#startrun . OEM ignitors and coils both seem to fail around every 7-10 years. When one fails, the other is often not far behind it. They are electrically connected and involve electronics, so erratic input/output from one can be detrimental to the other.

Distributor King's dizzys get good and bad reviews. If you can afford to buy a new OEM ignitor and/or coil, do. They will last longer.

On the other hand, for a car this old, a whole new distributor may be a good idea. The dizzy housing, for one, has three engine control sensors in it that I think degrade over time. I advise at least a new housing (which is not a whole distributor) every 150k miles/10 years.
