Default p30 ecu on d16y8

I was thinking about using obd2a-obd1 conversion harness with p30 for d16y8. I just wanted to know if the ignition timing similar to the P2P ecu?? I've been using p28 but ignition timing is super off...

nothing but the P2P is close, get the P28 chipped and tuned, there's not really anything else you can do.
