Default Swap help 98 hatch

Whats goin on guys...I recently purchased a cheap 98 hatch but its an automatic so I will definitely want a complete swap 5 speed of course, so my question is to you guys is first has anyone done a swap like this going from stock auto to a swapped 5 speed and how intense would the conversion be?

it's easy. look into the FAQ thread. it's basically collecting the parts that is sometimes hard.

three pedals
shift links
tranny
rear mount
axles
solenoid and then some more bits...

i just did mines recently.

i honestly think its not worth the time if you are going to keep it small as in 'sohc non-vtec' or a 'mini-me v-tec' if you are going to do that tranny conversion within a motor i would say to do it more advanced, like a SI or GSR swap.

and also. its quite of a bitch to take off and put on the brake and clutch pedal. and to cut that automatic line frame. but if you are dead dedicated to do it. do so. and btw, automatic chassis are lighter by about 20 pounds. so its slight worth it. LOL.

You don't have to cut anything on a '96 - '00 you did on the '92 - '95s if you didn't buy a conversion mount. How do you figure the automatic chassis is lighter?
