the car does this at random times...mainly it does it after i've driven it and have shut it off.it just turns and turns but wont start, it will after letting cool, or if i push start it i've replace the coil, the rotor and the wires and the spark plugs and the battery, but not the cap. I've also replaced the main relay for the fuel pump.

what is it.

yeah! and it will also turn on eventually after almost draining the battery, or it's best if i just let it cool down.

 

 

Any check engine lights? (Is the bulb unplugged?)

my hatch did the did the exact same thing last summer. i thought it was the injectors. so i took them out to change and they were all covered in carbon. took some scotch brite to them and put them back in started every time after

 

NO CEL.
batt is new.

and damn. i was going for the injectors once but lost track of them. i taking care of those first thing in the morning. hope this is it guys. wish me luck. i'll let you guys know thanks and keep them suggestions coming please.

 

MAN! i cleaned the injectors. and i think that it might have been the problem. bit they only build up on the outter lip. and a little bit of dedrie in the filter insert. how does this effect the filters?

 

Let me know if that was the right fix i had a similar problem in crx

 

ya thats where mine had it to. i just cleaned them up real good and had no problems. let me know if it works out

 

bad connection to the starter/battery? i had a friend car that did that and i replaced the terminal ends and it turns on.

 

the problem continues.


how can i tell if an injector is stuck?

 

is it misfiring? Is your distrobuter giving a spark for every cylinder?

 

it's not missfiring, and i do think that my dizzy is giving spark for every cyilinder, cause when i turn it on it runs strong. how can i check tho?

 

well if it runs strong once it gets started then its sparking in every cylinder. But you might need a new dizzy. This happened to my friend with his GSR. Finally it stopped starting all together. He found that the dizzy had cracked and had oil in it, so it had to be spinning faster to create a spark (not sure why).

 

sorry to make this come to the front page. but I'll post how i fixed it for future issues anyone might have like mine.

the issue was the fuel pump.

i changed it out and the car was always starting.
