I don't think theres a difference when it comes to looks. But I heard ebay fogs doesnt last that long sometimes. I have ebay fogs on my em1 for a year and a half now and never had a problem with it.

i tried getting a pair of EBAY fogs and the wiring was incorrect. Got OEM fogs from H and A and they were plug and play. http://www.handa-accessories.com/civext00.html

IMO, you can't beat OEM quality. They're only a tad bit over $100 from H and A. I had OEM fogs in my old EG, currently some on my DC. I've never had a problem with wiring or fitment.

ive used aftermarket ebay stuff on afew cars and they worked ok.. for some reason tho they tend to allow water in and/or the relays get water in them after a car wash or rain. thats kinda my fault tho. but for the price difference aftermarket will always be cheaper.

Same thing with aftermarket tail and head lights. I would always take them apart and seal them myself. I plan on picking up some soon for my EK also.

I just went from ebay to oem, so here ya go...

-The housings themselves are much heavier and sturdier feeling
-The wiring inside each housing is done beautifully, while inside of the ebay fogs the wiring is silly, and changing bulbs can be disastrous.
-OEM Wiring is much cleaner looking, although it needs modification to be able to run the lights with parking lights.
-Fitment is 100 times better, even with my aftermarket bumper
-Brackets and bezels are much heavier, and have a much better finish

I had my ebay fogs for about 6 months, the were great for the short run I had them. Eventually the gasket gave up and they dont stay sealed now. Do the right thing and buy OEM the first time through and save yourself the 50 bucks.

I used lamin-x.. I'm bored, so here's why.. lol

-Lamin-X can be removed... easily.
-Lamin-X will never chip, and paint is almost going to for sure, you can't stop rocks
-Lamin-X wont fade, and it is warrantied.

My lamin-x burnt because my crappy ebay fogs shorted out and caused the bulb to blow (oh yeah, forgot to tell you about that) and I called them... They had me send pictures and about a week later they sent me new covers free of charge.

I dont know, i have a set of ebays for a year now and they were practically identical to my buddys oems. mine were PnP and can be used without parking lights. they fit perfectly. for fifty bucks they were definitely worth it.

When you go to install.. **** the drill method, but yourself a new exacto-knife and a heatgun. Heat up the back of your bumper for a few seconds and cut the outline out with the exacto knife... It will cut it like butter, you can't get a cleaner cut either.

Good luck

they sell real oem stuff? O_o i might just buy these if they are, instead of the passwordjdm ones. Why is password's oem foglights for the 99-00 EKs so expensive? Because they're from japan or something?

just go with oem you'll be way more happier depos cost me 100 and oem cost me 135..so for 35 more you get quality parts not saying that ebay/depo makes crappy stuff but read what hgem1si said about ebay vs. oem.
