i jus baught some cam gears for my h22 now i was wondering wat the intake cam does wen u advance an wat it does wen u retard it an same with the exhaust

 

First off you should have spent the $$ on hooked on phonics.

Why would you buy the gears if you don't know what they are good for?

They only work if your ecu has the 2.0 cap cp3u module. Those are hard to find these days.

 

You are controlling the lobe separation angle between the two camshafts. Google lobe separation angle and begin learning.

 

i thought cam gears are use full with setting the timing. when tuneing

 

thanks sander thats all i been trying to find out now im going to be doin some reading on that but i went to install them last night an i looked an my balance shaft belt was snaped
