Default coilovers vs springs and shocks?

so ive been lookin around and i know some friends who have the skunk 2 pro street coilovers for there cars and i found some for an 08 4 door si for a good price, but i know a lot of yall have just springs and shocks. so my question is should i go coilovers for 600 dollars? or should i go springs and shocks for 500?... and what are some good springs and shock set ups yall have. i know coilovers r gonna be stiff, but im only wanting to do a 1.5 in drop so any advice

go coilovers simply because of the adjustability. it's definitely worth the moderately stiffer ride

yeah im leaning on coilovers a lot more than springs. i had springs on my accord and it was pain the back was higher than the front and all this bs i would rather skip. not to mention that coilovers are better handling

very true. i have ebay coilovers *here comes the flames* on my ek and they are really not that bad and with strut and tie bars there is NO body roll whatsoever. i am dropped 3 inches too so that's pretty good. just avoid large potholes, which you can now do with the better handling

for sure. yeah im planning on doing a smaller drop on my 4 door si than my accord lol. it was a 98 4 door v6 slammed with a straight pipe lol. soo loud. it was clean but my shocks started going out. they were kybs too and i drove that thing soo slow over everything. but yeah im getting skunk 2 streets and doing a smaller drop with a blox 21mm rear sway bar and puttin some work emotions Cr-Kais 17x8 on it with some falken azenas and thats a rap for suspension lol. its gonna be sick

Bronze and red. As the for your suspension choices, for 100 more, you might as well go full coilover.

yeah i dont mind hard ride i want performance, one of my friends was trying to argue with me that springs for the new si's are better than coilovers and i think thats complete bs. and i went to honda today and they said it would be $392 for an hfp front lip installed and i have 10% off so i think im gonna get that too. but yeah im pretty sure im getting the skunk 2 pro street coilovers and the bronze work emotion cr kais and the hfp front lip soon, thanks for all of yalls opinions.
