i was looking around the faqs but can't really find much about which parts from these two engines are swapable and if there needs to be any sort of mods needed to make them work
i plan on gettin a tranny and intake manny off the D16Z6 but would like to know what other things are interchangeable between the two.also would like to know the benefits of swappin these parts and the cons as well. help a brother h-t'er out cuz im really considering gettin these for my EG

i no u can put the z6 head on the b7 and u just got to get the p28 computer and u can run vtec on it. is ur car wired 4 vtec? if not u gotta figer out away to hook up the vtec to the computer i no u can ive herd of it. i dont no how tho i did this same thing to mine i have the vtec hookedupto the high beam head lights so wen u hit the high beams it pops vtec. it adds sum power to the engin.but u can only tell when u hit the vtec at a high rpms.hopethis helps u out.

 

oh ya andi think the only diffrents is the d16z6 has alonger stroke than the d15b7 i think almost every thingis inter changable.

 

oh ya andwhenu go to put the headon theres a oil restrecter u gotta take out ther wise the vtec head doesnt get enuff oil and will burn up.

 

but what about the intake manny? im guessin since its from a D it should bolt right up right as well as with the tranny?
