I purchased this "GEM" in July of 08'. This car is in extremely immaculate condition. It only has 12,600 miles(I have a Carfax that proves it.)I found this car at the local junk yard. I had it totally check by a Mechanic and Body shop.I just want to share this beauty with all you Honda enthusiast. The car is in the exact condition in which I bought it in. I only had to put new wiper blades(old ones were still the original!!!) and new tires ( old ones also were the original tires!!!!).

I checked out the floor mats. Those are really nice,but they wont match the interior of my car.

 

I am amazed myself,everytime I am in this "Gem". I replaced the wipers and the old ones seem to be the original. Also, it has the original spark plug wires(and they are in very good condition).

 

Nice car, I wonder what is was doing in a junk yard.

 

I have to believe that this wasn't in the actual salvage yard part. Probably someone working there was selling it or the yard was letting the owner leave it there for people to see and inquire about. Either that or the car didn't look like that when it was on the yard and it's been fixed up. Something isn't right.

That car looks to be in mint, tip-top shape. It's a damn beautiful car and I'd take it in a minute.

Something just doesn't add up. And if I'm wrong, my apologies.

 

I would love to find out myself. I figure a wealthy person had it and just didnt want it anymore. Or the owner passed away and the next of kin just didnt want to deal with the car. But I would love to find the person who put it in the junk yard!!!!

Well however it got there, I'm glad you came along to rescue it. I could only wish that my 2nd gen was in that kind of condition. Do you mind disclosing what you paid for it?
