OK.... i got in a wreck... i dont know if any of you remember the pics i posted a while ago of my tail lights but anyways I had them all red cuz i lke em like that and im not all fond of the amber... but anyways in the wreck my passenger taillight got cracked so i had to replace it and i got a good deal on a set of JDM ones from www.inlinefour.com for basically $150 shipped for both used JDM tail lights in mint condition.. an im stuck on if i should make them all red again... my sol is champ white and the all red looks good on a white car... but anyways ive been thinkin bout it all day and cant make up my mind.. so i wanted to know what you guys thought.

 

All red for me. I hate the orange on the tail lamps.

 

naw man, dont spray them. jdm lights are rare, and it would just ruin the lights. if u wanna spray ur lights, ill trade u and u give me ur lights. heck ill even spray them candy apple for u.

oh btw: how'd u get the lights from them? i didnt see them sell these at all...

the USDM taillights have a sidemarker light that comes on at night and is separate when u brake, the JDM taillights light up all the way around instead of having the side marker thing. so to sum that all up: usdm: lights up part way only when braking, jdm: lights up all the way around when braking. not a big deal but looks nice.

i wouldn't paint the jdm ones, but if you want all red tails, sell the jdm ones, get a usdm set for cheap and paint them. i did and they look tight and have held up good.

the lights are different ill get pics up shortly... well the thing was i called inlinefour to order the rear foglights and they didnt have them but they were like "but we do have something else rare and cool" and they told me they had the tail lights and they were only like $146 shipped and i needed new ones since my all red USDM ones got cracked in the accident.. so i couldnt pass it up.. now im workin on gettin the JDM aux lights (the ones that take H4 bulbs if anyone knows where i can get them used let me know... if not i gotta order them from the UK) and the JDM one piece headlights

 

you can remove the old paint no prob if you don't like em....just spray on oven cleaner, let it sit for an hour and then just wipe the paint off.

 

Amber is easier to see for signals

 

i used to worry about this whole tail light stuff, but my car is not a show car. I realized I will Never see them at night because no one else is willing to drive my car (it requires that special finesse ). just get the cheapest stock replacements to find, this way if something happens to these you wont really care because you got them for hella cheap

 

i dont think some of you really understood the whole thing... i was in a wreck and fucked up the my USDM lights that i had sprayed all red.... i already have the JDM lights they are on my car right now... i payed $150 for them... and im stuck between sprayin the JDM ones or now.. cuz i really liked the way the all kandy apple red lights looked on championship white.. but then i think.. these are RARE jdm del sol pieces... i cant deface them..

i think they were only available on Euro del sols. im getting a set soon for 360. its expensive but its OEM. im also getting lic plate filler plates too. as for the one piece headlights i havent really found new sets that are less than 500. those are on my list too. check out darksol and hit up the bbs, look for a guy named chris keppler aka ghostsol, he can get u those parts. hes getting them for me too.

You answered your own question. You really liked it before so why wouldnt you do it again. Not like its a big noticeable difference anyway (between the USDM and JDM tailights. I say do it!!!!!! I bet the all red looks nice too.
