Default B16A SiRII into a 2000 Hatch....ECU Question

I'm putting a JDM B16A SiRII in my 2000 DX hatch, a friend of mine said that we can't use the SiR computer unless we rewire the harness cause of a pin difference(or something like that). He said I should just get a 99 - 2000 Si ECU or anything else 99-00(TYPE R, Spoon, ect...). Can I buy a pre wired harness to run the SiR ECU or is there no difference with that and the Si

i also have an sir 2 in my EK hatch!! just get a obd1 to obd2(second gen) converssion harness!! that way you will be converted to obd1, you will be able to use the p30 ecu that comes with the sir2 and you will make more power, and less headaches!! contact kenji, he has best product and some darn good prices! just do search on his name and get email addy!! good luck, and i.m. me with any questions!! eric

Well, just tell me how everything goes. I have an sirII also and I am slow as hell. Gonna try to dyno tune it right on Tuesday.
