i have a 96 accord with a h22 5-speed tranny and factory h22 ecu. idles fine when cold but shuts off when warm when i pull up to a red light but then cranks right back up. also when im driving and get on it the car bogs down at 4 grand and then opens back up once vtec kicks in. the coil is good, new wires and i keep fouling out spark plugs. if i unplug the fuel pressure regulator it stops my shut off at idle but sprays fuel out the exhaust when i rev it up but it still bogs at 4 grand. cant figure this out. i have good fuel pressure also, i have already checked it no drops or spikes shown on gauge.

 

thats the same thing my accord does i have a 2000 accord f23 vtec. my friend told me to clean the vtec solenoid. i havent done it yet. my car revs to 4000rpms n buggs out n sometimes shoots up to 6000 rpms. so take the vted solenoid out n clean it. see if that works.

 

thanks i will try that but i am also getting very bad gas mileage and i have recently installed a new fuel pump(stock size) and it has started to be really loud like a high flow but is not one.
