i have a stock LS greddy 18g turbo tuned for 7 psi.
2.5 inch downpipe. stock cat and 2.5 inch crush bent exhaust are the mod i was tuned with but my 2.5 inch exhaust got messed up so i was wondering if i can just change it to the stock exhaust without a retune.
I understand i would b losing some power but i dont have the money to get a 2.5 inch exhaust.
So again the question is would it be ok to change the exhaust from a 2.5 to stock without a retune.. thank you

You don't need a retune if you don't mind it running a little rich. However its still possible it could get overly-rich to the point of hurting your rings. You'll loose power from it being too rich in addition to the power loss due to the smaller piping.

 

so it would make a noticeable difference in my tune? i understand i will lose power, i just dont want to blow my motor up.

 

not really, you'll lose more and more power with the stock one, but a retune is not necessary.
