Burns Stainless has a form you can fill out with your motor setup and for $75 they will tell you what size your tubing should be and where to put the steps. It works out pretty well most of the time, and you get your money back on that if you purchase a collector from them. You will probably end up with something shorter than the off the shelf stuff, and run it under the pan so you have some flexability for trying different length tail pipes

one of the best things we have done. i am not kidding at all, we picked up about three tenths when we made our ss tri-y step header from the info burns gave us. reset the ss/fs record twice in the first three races in 2008 for division 6.

this was not a honda by the way

did you go this route 4piston?

No one is going to be able to answer that and know what will make more power. You could spend a mint on the dyno testing different collectors alone. I would seriously fill out the form at Burns and at least get an idea on size and where your steps should be. Burns probably makes the best collectors.

Also, run it under the pan. Side exit will be too long.

burns gives you specs/diameters/length of megaphone in regards to YOUR setup and motor. all the others are mass produced.

Not all are mass produced. We make all our headers custom to the motor they are going to go on. Just like Burns, we calculate the runner lenght and diameter for each custom header we build.

Bore, stroke, cams, peek torque rpm etc, is taken in consideration when you make a header.

man i dont mean to sound rude in any way, but your asking the same question over and over again which nobody will be able to provide the correct answer to.

each header your asking about will work differently on your application. to figure out which header will be the best for you, it will depend on what size motor your running, what cams, what type porting, what powerband your looking for etc, etc.....

the best option you have is to contact burns and let them figure it out for you. they will design a header which is exactly what YOUR motor needs to perform the way you want it to.

either do that, or start buying all the different headers you mentioned since price wont be an issue. then you can test them all at the track to see whats best for you.

You could go with SPD for a collector. I used Burns for my collector and primary tubing. Not the cheapiest but definitely worth it.

Also, I would give stefan a call.
