Default Brake problems

Hey guys, I am having some brake problems on my 1988 CRX Si. I replaced the rotors, pads, and fluids and have probably driven for ~1k miles. The pedal has a lot of pressure so I know that the master cylinder and brake booster are fine but my brakes are horrible. I can really only compare them to a 88 CRX DX that I have driven with stock pads/rotors/fluid...as soon as I pushed the pedal to the floor, they would be on the verge of lock-up. If you kept it there long enough, they would definitely lock up. On my car, I can be in the top of 3rd gear and stand on them all day and they are nowhere near lock-up. I have autocrossed it several times and the brakes are not what I am looking for. I do not need a bigger brake kit, I just want the stopping power of the 88 DX I drove before I get it out onto the track. I recently pulled my wheel off to see what how the rotors were wearing and found this on the left front:

The pad is not making good contact with the rotor...is is tapering the rotor. What could be causing this? What do I need to replace? Is this from the clip/slider/???? Anybody had a simular experience?
Thanks!

Those pictures are not showing up for some reason(the user does not know what he is doing!), so here are some links to the pics:

It might be a problem with Geocities...I am trying to post them somewhere else...copy the link and paste them into the address line and it will pull up the pics. I did not take any measurements.

It is only like this on the drivers side.

I'm just assuming, but I'd say that there is something wrong with your caliper. Is the other side fine?

The wear pattern on your rotors look like you have the wrong pad. Try another set. I have even ran into times where I put the correct pads on and they had the results you have.

Your rotor could also be warped. Its there in shaking when stopping? or like it pulls to one side? But i would go with some new pads first.

It sounds and looks to me that your slides are froze. Take them out and clean them up and grease them up alittle. Don't get carried away w/ grease though. You don't want to get it on your pads or rotors. About 90% of the time that is all that is wrong.
