whats the engine code on the block?

and yes you are correct a 1995 accord should not have a 2.3... it should be either an f22b2 (dx/ lx) or an f22b1 (ex). the c27 2.7 v6 was also available but that would be obvious if it was that.

yep someone else swaped in that motor. the previous owner might have ment stock motor that has not been modified... but that motor is from a 98-02 accord lx, ex, se or 98-99 acura 2.3cl.

curious weather the motor has been changed back to obdI or if they brought over the other ness. obdII parts when they put in the motor to keep it obdII.

I've noticed it's got a resister box. I thought obd1 didn't use one I could be wrong. I'm just confused why it would be swaped it only has 100k on it

All Accords from 90-97 used the low impedance injectors with a resistor box. The F23s on the other hand used the saturated injectors without a resistor box. I am going to assume that the person who did the swap kept the OBD1 harness. or at least kept the resistor box in the car. Are the injectors wired to the box? If they are then they swapped the F23 injectors for teh F22B injectors...same 240cc so it won't cause any problems.

As for the car only having 100k on it. I've seen cars with fewer miles have to replace engines. Due to poor regular maintenance, ie timing belt breaks or a spun bearing. Maybe the original owner overheated the engine, warped the head. and it was cheaper to buy an F23 than to fix the F22B*. Any number of things could have cause the engine to be replaced.
