distributor fitment problem...

distributor fitment problem...
Got a 97 D16 Civic, Smacked in front had to replace Cyl. Head.
Donor was 94 D16. Was told all would interchange. NOT TRUE!
Not everything interchanges. What - up?

You were misinformed. A '96 - '00 D-series distibutor will not bolt on to a '92 - '95 D-series Vtec head. They will bolt up to a '92 - '95 D-series non-vtec head though.

Yeah we made everything else work. Connectors matched up then we tried to put Dist. in...WAH Wha Wha wah!!!
Gonna have to gut it and replace with old housing. It'l go...
