Is there anyone here that has a rack out and available to measure something for me? Prefer the frist gen, but would like to have both please. Need distance between the inner joints, and distance between the mounts. A pic would be fantastic too if not too much of a bother.

haha I don't know of too many people that have a steering rack lying around.

 

Yeah, well I know 3 people that have extra racks to other cars/projects. Was hoping someone here was doing a build, partout, whatever and maybe had some answers.

hmm. that's the steering columm? but it you want to sell me a useable rack for 30$ I'll take it.

 

oh my mistake, what do you refer to as a steering rack? the picture i showed is what i refer to it as..

 

At the bottom of the columm is the rack, or gear as you may know it. Between the tie rods.
