Valet key triggering car alarm

I have an 03 accord 4cyl coupe and whenever you use the valet key to unlock the door the alarm goes off. Is it designed this way or is there a solution to fix the problem? Thanks.

what happens when yoiu unlock the door with the master key using the lock cylinder. and thats not normal.

was the key replaced at 1 time ? sounds likes it not programed.

It's really strange, I just tried it with both keys and it worked fine, but in the morning with the valet key the alarm has always been going off.

The valet key is the original that came with the car.

The key being programmed is irrelevant to the alarm going off. Is it a factory alarm system?

not sure if that's the reason or not just a thought since it's only the valet key imobi issue ?
does the valet key start the car ?
