B20 questions
B16 intake manifold could work, but you have to modify it. Better off just using an LS intake manifold or skunk2.
GSR cams will fit, but last I saw a dyno of a B20Z with GSR cams in it lost 4-8 hp across the board. They guessed that it was because of the increased mass of the cams took alot more power from the motor to spin them. More hp than they provided.

gsr cams WILL NOT FIT. the vtec lobe on the gsr cam is where the cam journal is on the b20 head
i was comparing my 1st gen b16 manifold to my new(out the junkyard) 90 LS manifold, and the bolt patterns are different. the exhaust manifolds, however, are the same. i'm using the stock b16 exhaust manifold on my b20.
well there goes my plans to build a non-vtec B20. I was not going to use the Skunk2 because it makes a lot of topend, but not a lot of lowend, and i was going to build it for lowend. In an article i read by t.o.o. a B16 manifold was suggested for a CRVTEC setup for good lowend. So how could i make a B16 manif. work on the B20 head? Also is there any way to add a more aggressive cam to a B20 head? thanks

a b16 intake manifold works on a crvtec because..drum roll..it's a b16 head. the stock b20 head is almost identical to a b18 head..so a b18 manifold is what you want to look for. aggressive cams are made for this motor..

I think crower makes some cams for the b20
PS. kinda-off subject but does having a ls tranny on the b20 hurt performance as bad as every says, or can u get by with it.
I know acceleration wont' be as great but does it affect the power.

i personally don't know why everyone complains about the ls tranny so much. On my '90 teg the b20 is on the brink of letting my front tires loose when it hits its nasty 4-5k rpm range - rolling start. I'll have to do some genuine full out runs with my fpr installed to really rod it, but i've heard a couple squaks already (on NEW tires - cheap, but new).
Now with a shorter geared tranny the traction would be worse - fine if you have super grippy tires, but i'm a regular person with regular tires. Plus if you do most of your driving on the highway, like me, and are not a big drag racer, then the ls tranny is fine. 5th will always be a dog, but just drop a gear...

Crower does not make cams specifically for the B20. But they make cams for the B18A/B18B. These cams will work in a B20. But I am not sure how well. As for the intake manifold, the B18B manifold wqould be your best bet in terms of OEM Honda manifolds.
Yup, since the B18B head fits perfectly on the B20, you should be able to use the Crower cams. The B18B IM I think is mandatory when doing the B29 swap because the factory IM of the B20B/Z is pretty tall and won't clear the hood.
