It probably overheated, but that kinda depends on the material. DO you know the specs of the clutch? Was it just another OEM replacement type thing or is it a performance clutch?

Well, if your a noob to the 5-speed, odds are you just burnt your clutch.

Over heating would stall your car out, not cause your gears to slip.

I meant overheating the CLUTCH, not the engine

engine temp etc was fine......gears just started feelin like they werent totally catchin and then its seemed okay again but then all of a sudden, it wouldnt grab anything....

i put it into gear and release clutch and it doesnt stall or anything...i could also throw it into gear without using the clutch....

so um how much am i lookin at for this repair cost ?

well if you only overheated the clutch it would have cooled down in 5 hours for sure....

my $.02.....before you go and ruin your car, if you havent already, learn how to drive a 5-speed correctly!

if they replaced the clutch right before you bought it and you didn't know how to drive i think you burned it out...

clutches have a break-in period when they're new so you should go easy on them at first...

200 miles before I'd recommend fast driving/shifting.

500 miles before I'd recommend launching/spinning/peeling.

Wow you shouldnt be doing that if you dont know how to drive properly!!! Even then only the most skilled drivers can do it without serious harm to the transmission.

Your looking at >$500 at a shop

DIY'ing it can cost ~$150 for an OEM Exedy plus the cost of resurfacing the flywheel (If I were you, I wouldnt do it)

You sure the clutch was changed before you bought it? I can't imagine you going through a brand new clutch that fast. I have a friend who doesn't drive a manual tranny very well and his clutch has held up fine for 5+ years.

Do you rest your foot on the clutch pedal while driving on the highway, etc?

How many miles on the car?

ur clutch might just be worn out, in the next couple days if it wont budge completly or startes slowing down and will only move at 6k rpm then ur clutch is out

There is a big diffrence between someone who doesnt drive clutch very well, and someone who just learned how to drive a clutch.

Ive seen it happen before, less than 2 weeks of hotroding the car around, and boom, clutch is dead.
