trouble with mini-me set-up
my friend and I are are trying to put a dx head on a vx block, but we're having trouble with the timing belt.
the vx belt is to short
and
the dx belt is way too long.
so I was wondering , does anyone know which belt I would use for this set-up...or has anyone even done this before? I know plentyof people have put vtec blocks on 1.5l blocks but is there something different with dx heads?
thanks.

Last time i checked, DX isnt VTEC...at least i think thats it. Si/EX would have the VTEC head, d16z6. Their is another D series that carries a vtec head but i cant think of it, maybe yours is it. And for the z16z6 head swap onto a VX you use the VX timing belt. It may not be to small, just really really really tight, https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=183063
The hx head is vtec. Is the vx head? I know it has the vtec wires already.
A mini-me swap is a vtec head on a 1.5 block. dx is a non vtec head. If the vx head is vtec, then do the vx head on a dx block... not vice versus.

yer dude, yer doing a reverse mini me motor... maybe a me mini motor, cause thats the way its going to turn out, a mini mi motor is a dx block with a si/ex head... and thats it
