Default D15b VTEC head/ D15b7 block QUESTION

I have read all of the Mini Me write ups and i haven't seen any info at all about a D15b Vtec head on a D15b7 block, so if anybody knows anything about this Mini Me than please help me out. I really just want to Know what timing belt i should use, I have already purchased a D16z6 timing belt because i think thats the right one but i don't know. Any help is greatly appreciated. THANKS

Well, there's really only two belts you have to concern yourself with. The 1.6L and the 1.5L. Your safest bet is just to buy both and then return one.

I disagree, since the resulting motor will still have 1.5L of displacement. Since the D15B VTEC is pretty much a VX block with a Si head, and you use the VX timing belt when you change it on the D15B, I would suggest ordering the DX belt for your application.

This is only an educated guess, as I only have this information to go from:

http://www.d-series.org/forums...32597

Maybe it can still help you. Good luck!

EDIT: I meant VX belt

Alright i think I'll just order a DX belt so i will have both, and see which one is better. Thanks for the help!

Hrm, I thought you needed a VX timing belt with a mini-me swap.

Oh well, maybe that's only if ur using a Z6 head. Or maybe I'm wrong.

According to that article that BlackoutVTi posted it says to use a VX belt so thats what I would go with.

That's my guess.

Since the d15b head is the same casting as the z6, and you need to use the z6 timing belt when you do a b7/z6 mini-me, I'm going to go with z6 belt and b7 tensioner.
