**D16Z6 - No spark, two dizzies this week. HELP PLEASE!! **
Hi all,
I have a 94 Del Sol Si with 164k on it, and it doesn't keep spark. It sat for a few months, and when I got back from school to drive it, it wouldn't start with no spark. I took the dizzy apart and ran through the diagnostic steps in the manual (pages 1037-1046.) I checked the coil resistance, and had the ignitor tested at AutoZone and both test good. So I put new (used) distributor on it, and it ran for about a day, then died again. So I got a new reman'd dizzy from AAP and that also ran for about a day.
I have tested it with a "known good" p28 ECU, and vicea versa.
In the manual, it says to check continuity on the yellow/green at the ignitor to the ECU. which from another diagram in the back of the manual somewhere in the 1250's I think is ECU pin D14 or D15, but I can't seem to locate that pin via the diagrams as no other connector on the second to last page says D14 or D15. Furthermore upon inspection, it looks like there are only a two yellow/green wires down at the ECU.
Anyone with some ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.

no charge light indicator no CEL ?
It sat for months and did not start, check battery ? the car was ice cold for months but you tired to start and no battery charge ?
So if battery and charge is good, no cel or charge light, alt good, you swapped in the dizzy it runs for a day then nothing... yet you swap the dizzy a second time and it runs then quits.
and you said ignitor module tests fine.
To me this is a cracked wire between dizzy and module a loose pin in the connector etc.

I don't have any CEL or charge light indication. I went through the procedures in the manual, but still nothing to speak of.
PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, but here are the tests and the conclusions I have arrived at.
I have voltage at the two wires from the coil, both at the coil and the igniter.
the wiring colors for that are BLK/YEL and WHT/BLU.. = OK
My tach moves when I crank the motor over, which according to the manual, means the BLU wire off the igniter is good. = OK
The only wire in question is the YEL/GRN.
Does anyone know where the YEL/GRN from the ignitor ends up?
