Default 95 accord water leak

I have a 95 Accord that has sprung a leak on the drivers side. Looks like a plug? bolt? is missing.

I can not see this very well as it is on the block? just behind the lower flywheel cover. The hole faces the firewall.

Any thoughts.

Is this a normal opening and the leak is from inside or under the timing cover?

This is a constant dripping and drains the block in a few minutes.

Leaking what?

Oil?

Or by water do you mean coolant? Which should be a greenish color

What's on the tip of Muffinmans' tongue is that it's most likely the weep hole which is provided as a vent in the case of the waterpump shaft seal failing. I believe he will concure that the Water Pump is the culprit. It will require replacing. You might entertain doing the timing belt at the same time. It may have been contaminated.

I thougt it might be a weep hole, and now that I look again you are spot on with the water pump. I will do both. can I do this w/o pulling the engine. It looks real tight to me.

The Flat Rate Time Guide manual calls for about 2.7 - 3.2 hours for a properly trained (and equipped) tech to do the job. It is tight, but it can be done in-car. To the uninitiated, I'd plan for a day of it.
There should be a D.I.Y. timing belt primmer in the FAQ section of this forum.
