Icon2 Replacing parts?

Im working on taking out my engine (d15b2) out of my car to replace the clutch and ive never done it before, i still have to take the axles out and shift linkage. I noticed when reading in my owners manual it said i should replace some things like my throttle cable. is it realy necesary? will it pay off in the long run? and what other parts should i replace? any good online stores for these parts my cars a 91 civic hatchback dx

no need for that, I would although recommend replacing the rear main seal which is maybe like $8, and make sure you get the throw out and pilot bearing along with the clutch disk and pressure plate when you do it.

don't worry about removing the shift linkage just unbolt it from the car...

throttle cable? nah I've never worried about it...I'd either replace the flywheel or get it resurfaced minimum....oil changes, air filter, do the full clutch kit (exedy is a favorite and you can just hit google, ebay, just about anywhere)
