What turbo-wheel measurements
hi,
i have just bought a turbo believed to be a gt3071r, but on closer inspection it isnt,
i measured the wheels with a vernier caliper and these are results:
hotside wheel: 56.2mm
Coldsie wheel: 53.3mm
it looks like a gt3071r coldside housing with the 0.50 A/r stamp and its T2 flanged
and its oil & watercooled
Any help appreciated
Dave

your information is a bit incomplete. You've only stated the inducer measurement of each. If you could, please relay the complete information as shone below.

That will help us a bit more. Thanks.

okay, i pulled the housings off and got the exducer measurements,
compressor: 71mm
turbine: 60mm
so it appears to be a gt30, can anyone work out the trim from those measurments?
thanks

comp trim 56.3, turbine 87.7 from your measurements (your measurements are maybe a bit off on the hotside exducer) but seems like everything points to gt3071r. what makes you think that it isnt? they come t2 flanged and internally gated
