Default yes or no? what do you think

i am running the d16z6 in my rex. cheap intake, and cat back exhaust. stock p28 ecu. i was considering turbo until i got another ticket for racing. so i was thinking of maybe just getting acouple small bolt ons here and there. maybe a cai, header. what do you guys think about the following tho....

a different cam and (or maybe and) cam gear
fuel rail
better injectors
apex-i vafc and have it tuned on the dyno. you guys think any of that crap is worth it if i can get stuff a little cheaper than average. would that stuff do me any good running stock ecu and not boost or nitrous? thanks

don't go w/ nitrous unless you have the money to replace your top end.

no i'm not, thats why i was asking if the cam and cam gear are noticeable/ safe/ and worth it on a basically stock N/A engine. with your basic bolt ons and a vtec controller. plus i would like to know what would be my best bet as far as brand name? plus is the new fuel rail and injectors worth it too? don't want nitrous, and i don't want to get too carried away with speed with the turbo. tring to calm down on racing, but still want a lil more power to have, then chill in a semi-fast daily driver and look nice. thanks

if u want the turbo u might as well do it. i mean the way i look at it if u get tickets now for driving fast and racing (like me) your not gonna get less because you only do certain mods to your car. its all in your mind set. will u race this guy at the lights. are u gonna go just a lil faster than everyone out here on the road. it all depends on that. u thinking that u wont get as many tickets by bypassing no2 or a turbo is just fooling yourself. u will just get beat more often when u do race. but thats just my 2 pennies.

IMO, if your just adding a few mods, then the fuel rail and injectors would be more of a "waste" then gain. Those types of fuel rails were designed more for peeps running alot of ALL MOTOR or High Boost, thats when you would need one. Otherwise, it's just turns into eye candy, rather then a performance gain....

port and polish-cam/cam gear-new injectors with vafc and tuned you should be for good for now! later you can do portmatch intake many- throttle body that would work. unless you wanted to do that gude head package like i was talking about

na, i wanted to do the cr-vtec route, but i didn't have that kinda money.so i settled for a cheap sohc vtec.we live in the winston/ high point area, not too many shops around here. just twisted performance...name fits..they suck ***. but i didn't go that way just because of $$$$$ and this post was to find out if those things are really worth the cash or if they are a waste. also if anybody knows....before i order my new axels, 89 crx Si axels work in a 88 crx dx right, running the 89 Si tranny. thanks
