How to replace oil pan?

Default How to replace oil pan?

trying to fix my own problems.. my oil pans dented and leaking. i can either hammer it out, but id rather replace it. any threads or diagrams? info? thanks

Its rather straight forward. Drain your oil, remove your header, unbolt your tranny brackets and flywheel cover and oil pan. Clean up the mounting surface and use a new oil pan gasket and then everything is reverse of disassembly.

take off the downpipe, drain oil, remove bolts/nuts, take oil pan off, take gasket off, clean mating surface, put new gasket on, put oil pan on, tighten bolts to specs, put downpipe back on

EDIT: and yea the tranny brackets and flywheel cover too, like he^ said.
