Need to ask some questions for a friends
I'm a long time H-T member but on ITR forum. I have a friend with a 97 Prelude VTEC and just was asking if anyone has any base cam gear settings that they have found are pretty reliable for his motor with all the basic bolt-ons CAI,header, straitpipe, exhaust. Now I know better the dyno is the only way to do it right but he asked me ask you guys/or gals and see if I could give him something basic he might like to go on until he can get to the dyno. Thanks for any advice or help you can give. And as a side question I'm curious what is the VTEC crossover point on the prelude feel dumb to ask but I don't have a prelude and the thought just came to me I don't know.

I haven't heard of a specific setting that would be good. All motors are different, so if one setting works good for a car, it may not be as good on another one...Having it dynoed is really the best way to find out
VTEC crossover is 5200 stock.
Hmm about the cam gear settings, I wanna say if he can afford 2 cam gears he can afford an hour of dyno!! Just my opinion, cause I don't have any ready to go settings.

Thanks for the opinions and the vtec x-over. And I know he should just stop being lazy and dyno it for the gear settings.
AEM has a set of settings that they recomend but i dont remember what they where, but you should dyno it for sure because everyones motor is different
