Quick Question
Ok, sorry about all the questions. I just need to know some things. I have now been thinking about the possibility of a late model Prelude, as well as a 99-00 Si, or a GSR. Now I don't know much about Preludes. But if I am correct, all the later models I have seen have VTEC's, correct me if I am wrong. I really love the way the Preludes look, they are just so sleek. But I also love Si's as well as GSR's. I know you guys are going to say it is a matter of preference. I have heard that Preludes are not that quick. Could anyone let me know how good of a car a Prelude would be as far as a college car, and also one to modify and have a little fun with. Sorry if I seem to be asking a lot of questions, but I just need to learn everything I can about the cars I am looking at, and see the pros and cons to each one. So if you guys could help me out, I would appreciate it.
late model preludes 97 and up all have h-series vtec motors. prelude's are faster than gsr's and way faster than si's. different people will tell you different beliefs as far as potential goes if your wanting to build the motor. if i where you i would stay away from the si for sure and decide if you like the gsr or prelude better. they are both good cars. personally i think the prelude is the best production honda other than S2000 or NSX. by the way h-series vtec model preludes are also avaliable in 93-96 preludes. just pop the hood and if the valve cover says VTEC on it than you found one. rumored that the 4th gen VTEC preludes (93-96) are slightly quicker than the 5th gen's (97-up) possible due to weight. but i dont know that for sure. I own a 93 vtec prelude and its absolutely great except for the fact that its not rear wheel drive. good luck
I think Preludes look better and thanks to the 2.2l motor they sound better than 1.8l tegs....Plus either way you go, if you get a VTEC 4th gen or any 5th gen with few or no mods you will take a GSR with the same...

Ok, I have decided on a Prelude. I am 100% sure that I will pursue this car. And one question. What are the stock colors that Prludes come in? I have seen silver, black, and red. Are there any more? I really like Electron Blue. I doubt they come stock in that color but I could always paint it.

how can you not LOVE the tails, just because there not square like almost every other honda on the road? the only thing I dont like about the 4th gen is the fact they changed into the 5th. lol
