For the money you would spend going with OEM items, why not consider this:

Viper Model 5002 paging alarm system.
http://www.hookedontronics.com/show_product_details.jsp?cid=49445&c=0901Froogle&b =Viper_5002
It can be wired directly to your lock relay and not only afford you keyless entry, but you can add additional features as you go. Remote start, engine kill ect.

i was actually thinking about getting this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218008113310

My question is this... My car has power locks, but it didnt come with keyless entry. Do i need to have actuators installed on all the doors to have the keyless entry to work, or does it already have that because it has power locks? Can anyone answer this question for me ?

Your car already has actuators.

No
The actuators are what make the power locks possible. The car has everything it needs for an easy alarm install which will give you Keyless entry (and a break on your insurance premium too).

I think if you shop around, you can get the Viper 5002 including remote start for near the same price. Some Audio specialty stores in your local area could be a viable option.
If you have a National Store called SoundFX in your area, stay away. they are grossly overpriced.

If it already has OE power locks, it already has actuators. All you have to do is buy a remote fob from Honda and program it to your car. Voila, keyless entry.

Remote fob part number is 72147-S84-A03. Can be found for $84 at any Honda dealer, or significantly cheaper over the internet from various OE Honda parts sites or eBay.

I don't recommend aftermarket alarms or remote starters. They're great when new and installed properly, but all too often I see them malfunctioning and causing power drains or no-starts due to failing electronics or a bad installation.

Already in the car, because to have factory power locks it must be an LX or higher, and all '98-02 LXes had keyless entry. Only the DX and VP didn't have keyless, and neither of those trims had power locks.

yea its an lx... so if i go to best buy they wont charge me for actuators cuz there already in there right ?

I dunno i talked to this retard at best buy asking him if i needed that and he said yes and that it would be $99 a pair. So an extra 200 bucks on top of the system. He was some high school kid... so i assumed he was dumb and i think you've confirmed that for me guys... thanks

If it turns out you only need the key fob like I did, just go to ebay and get a used one. The one the dealer (my dealer) sells doesn't work the trunk (they told me that) for $103. The one from ebay worked everything and came with an extra battery for $26.00 to my door. The programing instructions are pretty simple and comes with the fob.
