How do I service the VTEC solenoid?
Ok , I got back my DB8 from the dealer and was told my VTEC solenoid was out. So far I have searched the forum and have not found anything on them going out but rather the O-ring needing a cleaning mostly.
Can someone help me to do this? The haynes manual really sucks and is not that clear.
Thanks in advance
Jon

Unplug the connector for the VTEC solenoid and remove the bolts that hold it on.
Inspect the ''valve filter'' and check for clogging.
If the filter is not clogged, push the VTEC solenoid valve with your finger and check the movement.
For images/illustrations go to google and type in ''honda hookups manual''

If I clean up the oring and it still sputters, what else could make the VTEC not kick in all the time?
