Radiator head of my honda accord 1992 is leaking
Hi,
Today after driving fow two blocks when I open the hood of my car I noticed that some coolant is leaking from the sides of radiator head. I was surprised to see taht as just two days ago I checked it and there was no leak. The only difference in today's run is that I had to drive in very heavy snow as at some places I had to cross around 15 cm pile. Does this has any link to this leak?
My car temperature niddle is nt showing any over heating sign. Does using any radiator anti-leaking fluid will work in this situation or I have to trplace the whole radiator?
Please advise and also other things which I need to check to find the causes and impacts of this leak.
thanks
ahmar

I would personally stay away from stop leak. it has this habit of puddling out in such places as the heater core and the engine block, causing overheating problems later. Replace the radiator if need be.

It is quite common for the radiator to crack at that area (plastic) on many of the Hondas. Usually you just replace the radiator. In the following link, scroll down to the cracked radiator.

As P Adams stated regarding the stop leak, I would also stay away from a stop leak. I recommend just replacing the radiator; or you can do something similar like in the link I posted to weld and clamp the area, etc.
If it is indeed green, that will be coolant.
I've had initial reservations about Aluminum Core/Plastic Tank radiators in the past, but admittedly they've been surprisingly dependable.
Some radiators of this type can have a new tank installed; it requires a replacement tank, an oring and the fixture to clamp the core to the tank again.
It will be a lot less complicated to order one from NAPA or FAP rather than have yours fixed.

Thanks Adam and RedBull. I was looking for some low cost solution as the car is pretty old and do not wanna spend much on it as thinking of buying second in near future but it sounds like I have to spend few bux on it.
Do you guys know any site or shop from where I can buy radiator at reduced prices as somebody told me there are some but I never tried it. I am located in Toronto region.

i've had several 90-93 accords and they all have had the same problem, i just replaced the radiator
i also would not suggest stop leak
replacing the radiator would be the best bet but if yours has aluminum/brass tanks then you can also get it repaired
