Left Turn Signal stays on after Handle is turned to off
I have a 1992 Honda Accord DX. We just bought this car in the past week, and apart from the solenoid/idle air control sensor having to be replaced, we experienced another problem.
I was driving down the road, and turned left. I put on the left turn signal, and after I finished turning... the blinking arrow turned off, but the clicking sound stayed on. It did this for about 5 miles before it turned off again.
Later that night, I turned left again. This time, I put left turn signal on and after I had turned, the left turn signal would not stop blinking after the handle was back in the "OFF" position.
My dad just replaced the blinker box and the bulb, but neither fixed the problem. Does anyone know what the problem is or what it could be. Please let me know!

My car was doing this last year and it was really annoying. I traced down the problem to the turn signal switch itself. When I turned off my turn signal, the relay would continue to click on and off rapidly.
If your problem was the same as mine then you have two options: 1- buy a new switch, or what I did 2- take apart and clean up the switch.
What I found when I took my switch apart (which was easy to get to- just pop the steering wheel emblem out (if your car doesnt have air bags), one 17mm nut holds the steering wheel on, get that out of the way and the switch comes out with a few phillips head screws) was that the grease that lubricates the moving contacts inside the switch had accumulated metal dust from normal wear over years of use, and that caused a partial connection even when the switch was off (acting like a resistor)- which caused the relay to blink when the switch was turned off.
The FIX: take apart the turn signal switch. spray the switch case, and contacts thouroughly with brake clean, and wipe them clean and dry. Then re-lubricate them with new grease (wheel bearing grease works fine, or lithium grease). Then just re-assemble the switch, and make sure everything works smoothly. This worked for my car, and best of all its a FREE repair so I would reccomend trying this first. Good luck!

Awesome, I was hoping it wasn't something too major. How do I fix this problem since the steering wheel emblem can not be taken off due to the existence of airbags in my Accord? Is there an easy way to get to the turn signal switch?
Also one other quick question: for a idle air control sensor, can you find one online for a cheaper price?

You don't have to remove the steering wheel on your model. Disconnect the negative battery cable before you start working on it. Here are the Autozone instructions:

You can find cheaper Honda parts online via Majestic Honda, etc.

Hello - The left blinker in my 2004 Honda Accord started continuously blinking even when it was off or the car was turned off. I pulled the fuse out (the box under the hood - one designated for hazard lights) and when i put it back in the next day the blinker had actually stopped. However, as part of the process I noticed my left brake light had gone out which I believe is what triggered the blinker to continuously blink. The fuse being out overnight probably just temporarily reset the error code or however it communicates the brake light going out.
Hope this helps! I didn't find too much out there that was relevant for me.
